Your Privacy Matters

HreflangTool Pro is built with privacy as a core principle. We believe you should have full control over your data.

Data Collection: Minimal

We collect minimal data to understand how our tool is being used. All hreflang tag generation, validation, and processing happens entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. We do not store your URLs, configurations, or generated hreflang tags.

• No user accounts or registration required
• No server-side storage of your URLs, configurations, or data
• No third-party data sharing of your content

Local Storage Only

When you save configurations or view your history, this data is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. This means:

• Your data never leaves your device
• Only you can access your saved configurations
• You can clear this data anytime through your browser settings
• Clearing your browser data will remove all saved configurations

URL Validation Feature

When you use the validator tool to check URLs for existing hreflang tags, our server fetches the URL on your behalf to avoid browser CORS restrictions. During this process:

• The URL you provide is temporarily sent to our server
• We fetch the page content and return it to your browser
• We do not log, store, or retain the URL or its content
• The request is processed and immediately discarded

Note: This is the only feature that involves server communication. All other tools work entirely offline in your browser.

Web Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics for basic usage statistics. This helps us understand which features are most valuable and how we can improve the tool.

What Ahrefs collects:

• Page views (which pages you visit)
• Referrer information (where you came from)
• Basic device information (browser type, screen size, country)
• Time spent on pages

What Ahrefs does NOT collect:

• Your personal URLs or hreflang configurations
• Form inputs or generated tag content
• Any personally identifiable information (PII)
• Cookies for tracking across websites

Ahrefs Web Analytics is privacy-focused and does not use cookies or fingerprinting.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any invasive tracking services.

Third-Party Services

HreflangTool Pro uses the following third-party services:

• Ahrefs Web Analytics - For basic page view tracking (see Web Analytics section above)

All core functionality (hreflang generation, validation, and processing) is completely self-contained and runs in your browser.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect your data, there's nothing for us to access, modify, or delete. You maintain complete control over any data stored in your browser's local storage.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how we handle data, we will update this privacy policy and clearly communicate the changes. However, our commitment to privacy-first design will remain unchanged.
